My Approach

When a founder sits down with me, I’m not starting with channels or campaigns. I’m trying to understand what’s actually not working. The first step is to get the context in their own words and identify where the friction is. In most cases, the issue isn’t lack of activity, it’s misalignment between product, message, and audience. I focus quickly on who they’re targeting, what that audience cares about, and what’s stopping them from acting. Then we look at what’s been tried, what worked, and what didn’t, based on actual activity. I challenge assumptions, especially when the value proposition is vague or product-led. Only once the constraint is clear do we talk about next steps. The goal is not to cover everything, but to identify what matters and create a clear direction forward.

What to Expect

Come with whatever you have. A deck, a plan, or just a sense that something isn’t working. In the session, I’ll first understand your situation in your own words, what you’re building, who you’re targeting, and where things feel stuck. We’ll focus on identifying what’s not working, usually around positioning, audience, and messaging rather than tactics. I’ll challenge assumptions and help clarify what needs to change for marketing to translate into real conversations or pipeline. If there’s a clear fit, the next step is typically a focused two-week discovery and positioning process, including a structured knowledge session, competitor analysis, performance review, and a practical positioning document. Even if you don’t continue, you’ll leave with a clear direction on what to fix and what to prioritise.
